Editorial standards
The rules we hold ourselves to when we publish.
Last updated September 2026
Sourcing
- Claims that rest on data are attributed to a named, linked source.
- Where a figure comes from our own use of a tool, we say so and describe the method.
- We do not present vendor marketing material as independent findings.
Dating and freshness
AI tools change quickly. Comparisons, pricing, and capability claims are dated. If a page is not dated, treat it as general guidance rather than a current snapshot.
Labelling
- Newsletter issues live in the archive and are labelled by issue and date.
- Guides and articles are evergreen reference pages and are revised over time.
- Anything commercial is labelled. See Sponsorship.
Independence
Advertisers and sponsors do not receive editorial coverage in exchange for spend, and do not review editorial content before publication.
Corrections
We correct errors of fact promptly and visibly. See Corrections.
Use of AI
Our own use of AI in production is described on AI use.
